A friend of mine sent this email to Georgia Campers looking for campground info:
>I m headed to Florida in a few weeks, and I m looking for a place to
>stay. I m planning on spending a few days in and around the Santa Fe
>River, in the area of High Springs and the Ichetucknee River. I m
>looking at the O Leno State Park, but I m open to suggestions.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Thanks,
jaycocamprsAre you looking for a private or state park? Ichetucknee Springs State Park doesn t allow camping but FPUC stayed at the Ichetucknee Family Campground across the street from the entrance to that state park and we tubed the river. O Leno SP is about 12 miles from Ichetucknee Springs State Park but it is the nearest state park that allows camping. O Leno suffered greatly from that beetle attack and it pretty much affected the trees however I haven t stayed in touch to find out how much has come back since that happened. High Springs is a beautiful area but I much prefer Chiefland (Manatee Springs State Park). If I may be of any help please don t hesitate to email me at CamperJones@aol.com
