Title: Wandering Wheels, Munising, MI
Post by: The Eagle and the Hawk on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
We are planning a trip to the UP this summer, and are considering a stay at this campground.  Has anyone out there been here?   Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks.

A few years ago we stayed in a campground in Munsing and I think it was a state or national park.  But it was wonderful.  It was right on the south shore of Lake Superior and had a wonderful beach. We took a boat trip out on the lake to Pictured Rocks, I think it was called. Wonderful.  I want to go back there someday.

We did end up camping at Wandering Wheels Campground in Munising last summer (2003).  the Campground was ok, but they had possibly the dirtiest bathrooms of any campground we have ever stayed at.  And to top it off, We saw the owners CHILDREN on bathroom cleaning duty!  And I am not talking teenagers here, they were little kids.  We felt bad about that.  And the bathrooms were not big enough for the size of the campground they had.

We are going back this year and staying at a National Forest campground.
