Title: Coleman Extreme Coolers under $20
Post by: tlhdoc on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
Wal-Mart has the 36 quart Coleman Extreme Coolers on sale for $19.72.   These are really good coolers and this is a very good price.

tlhdocI agree it s a great deal, but  I am looking for a really big Xtreme on wheels, big enough for my crew of 5. [:o] I ve heard of others who have found deals on the 40-50+ Qt. ones before.  Anyone out there know of any around right now?  Suzyque-a challenge for you![;)]

tlhdocI had to order mine last year (the big one with wheels) through Walmart.com
Have not seen the big ones at Walmart or Kmart yet this year. I am waiting as I want one of the even the smaller ones with wheels. Saw lots of them last year.

tlhdocThanks alot Tracy.  I was at Walmart this morning and I don t know what happened, but that cooler somehow ended up in my cart.  As if I haven t spent enough money this year.  I also had to order the Plexus that you so glowenly reviewed.  I am not going to have any money to go camping at this rate.[8D][8D][8D]

 tlhdocHi Beckie,
I m probably going to get one of those smaller Extreme coolers too. I love my larger one but would prefer to separate drinks from food so guess I NEED another. With 5 of us (and sometimes more), the drink cooler is constantly being opened.

I also ordered the Plexus when Tracy first posted it.  Someone else posted about PopupGizmos bunk end covers and so I promptly got my order mailed. Was hoping my DH didn t see the entries in the checkbook until April 1. Figured if he complained, I d say it was all an April Fool s joke [:D] He says I spend far too much $ on camping. Funny he s the one that can t seem to stop buying cars...

Can t wait to see you in a couple weeks. Glad I finally booked my reservation. Checked the Assateague site yesterday and all the ocean side sites are gone. Can t wait to check out Tracy s new camping items - screen tent, patio mat, etc. Will have to check out your new stuff too.

tlhdocThat is the Igloo Ultra Cool.  I bought 2 of them last year (along with a Coleman-Thank you Wynot).  I want to do a comparison between the 2 brands this summer.

tlhdocPicked up my small Xtreme cooler last night and Chris didn t even complain. Of course, he was buying stuff too. We got some longer stakes - hoping they are long enough for the Assateague sand. Still need to stock up on bug spray. Still haven t dewinterized. Last night s news said more snow is coming - tomorrow. When will spring get here?

tlhdocThe Coleman Extreme coolers are awesome.  We won one at the PUT rally last October and we put it to the test this past week in Florida.  A block of ice lasted about 5 days in the extreme and that s with temps in the 80 s daily.  I bought a smaller one this spring and wished I had taken that one as well.

Our Kroger has the 5 day extremes for I think $22 but since we already have two and don t need another, I didn t pay much attention to it.

tlhdocSports Authority has the 50 QT wheeley cooler on sale this week for $35.00. I replaced the one that rolled off during the winter.

Saw the 30 something quart Igloo 5 day wheely cooler for about $25.00 at Genardis/Safeway this weekend.
