Title: Spring loaded poles/tension rods

 Do you use spring loaded rods(or tension rods) in your pu ? Any problems caused by them ?

 forestwalkerI bought one of those bathroom tri-shelf that uses tension rods.  DH cut about 7 inches off of two of the poles.  It goes from the galley cabinent to the ceiling.  The shelves are adjustable.  It works great.  We just made sure that the tension rods weren t too tight to possibly push the roof out-of-whack.

 forestwalkerWe ve used two tension rods to support a 4-ft. wire shelf for about 3 years.  We glued 2 PVC end caps to stabilize the rods on the ceiling without too much pressure.  It has survived the wind blowing like the dickens, and doesn t seem to have caused any problems.  If you want, I ll email you pictures.
