This is going to be a quiet place next week, with so many of the regulars down in Virginia for the rally.
We tried to get there, but just couldn t pull it together, with DD#1 in Bangkok and getting ready for the move, it just wasn t working for us. [:(]

I didn t really mean to cancel but it is making me just a little bit reluctant. We will be using our valued funds for this trip and I want it to be perfect of course ..... I hope it will really be scattered and will be scattering away from the CG [;)]

AustinBostonThe weather forecast really isn t that bad. There are a couple of days of " scattered showers" , which I can deal with. The other days are sunny are partly sunny, and the highs are no higher than mid 80 s. 80 s are a cakewalk for Southerners. In fact, Holly and I will bring jackets.[:D]

That isn t the problem, driving 6.5 hours each way for a 2 day trip is too much IMHO... Now if they are willing to give me Monday off, then I d " consider" it, and if they give me Monday & Tuesday then I would just do it. But like I said above, if pigs could fly....

Yes, we are moving to the twin cities. I guess that means I join the chorus of those calling for a less eastern rally next year.
As far as the handle is concerned, It has been discussed in detail in another thread. One thing I will not be is AustinMN, AustinMinn, or anything else combining Austin and Minnesota. They town of Austin, MN is the home of Spam.
Waaay back before the Coolboards, I wanted to register as simply " Austin" , but it was already taken. So I registered as " AustinBoston" so as not to be confused with the great city of Austin, TX. Some have suggested that I stick with AustinBoston, but that might confuse newcomers who would think I was in the tired, old city of Boston, Mass.
I dunno. Maybe I ll just switch to Austin.
