Title: Vail Lake July 18-20
Post by: Dee4j on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
We will be at Vail Lakes that weekend..just an FYI in case anyone else wanted to go. We will be in site 26 and I now 25 and 20-23 were available also there several down in the Oaks but we chose not to take them as the only spots left were along the main road to the pool and riding stables . We were worried about traffic and the kids on their bikes.

 Dee4jHey Dee,
We are headed to Newport Dunes that weekend so won t be able to make it.  The camp fees have gone up a bit since we were there a few years ago but we just couldn t resist the movies on the beach  (next best thing to Drive-in movies).

Dee4jHello Dee4J, Silver Hat here!  Is this the place you were talking about at the Angel s game?  We are looking for a camping spot that weekend.  Do they have a pool? (their web site says " future development"  to describe the pool).

Dee4jSilver Hat--the do have a pool.  I don t have much information about it because I didn t visit it personally, but the last time we camped there as a group, a lot of the families visited it.

 Dee4jHi Silver Hat,

As the mother of a rambunctious 2 y/o who LOVES the water, I have been to the pool quite often.  There are actually 2 pools, a little 3 foot-deep kiddie s pool and then the full-size pool.  Both are kept clean (at least they were great every time I ve been there and they know me by sight now when I check in) and are not heated but were perfect temps the last time we were there in early June.

I know the campfire thing is a bummer.  We even bought one of those firepits for Vail Lake.  I hope we get to use it some day.
