Title: " Wheel Estate"
Post by: Turn Key on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
If you missed Wednesday evening s History Channel presentation of " Wheel Estate" , you may get a second chance.  It is being rerun this coming Sunday (7/20) at 2:00pm (CST), at least in my area.  Might want to check your listings and set the VCR.  Good show!

Sorry about that!  Guess I had a " Male Blond Moment" [8D]!

Show s about old travel trailers and motor homes going all the way back to modifications made to Model T Fords.  They talked about some original PU s (sort of) as well.  Got some good info on some of the old TT s I remember seeing as a kid.  Very enjoyable show.

Turn KeyIt was a good show, it was fun watching the stuff about Airstreams, and how they used them as housing during the war etc.  The motor home they showed was over the top, for me - read expressing opinion here - that isn t camping, but to each his own.  Fun show anyway, did anybody else catch that old timey truck, that had a " popup"  bed off the side?

Turn KeyYep, I saw it, came on as I was going to bed, and wound staying up an extra hour. Great stuff in that. I really liked the very first " slide-out"  camper ever made the best!!! [8D]

Turn KeyWhy does the Canadian TV never reall show anything worth watching ? [: (]

P.S. Sorry, didn t mean to steal the thread ..... But we right now receive 180 channels and there is nothign to watch, hardly anything. And the only reason we have it is, this satellite company is giving away the dish and the receiver for 49 bucks if you only subscribe to their gold package for one month at 60 bucks. So I did just to get the dish and the receiver. Good eBay material :).
