Title: Store Sold Mat Fading
Post by: whitestar505 on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
 Hi All,

After a very long camping trip with lots of hot sun, I noticed that my new Mat from the store is fading very badly. In fact it is white in some locations. Has anyone had this problem ?

whitestar505So far so good, no problems.

I suggest giving Dave a call at the office.

BTW, what campground were you at?  I might want to avoid that one[:D]

 tim5055tim5055,

We were at many campgrounds. The longest was at The Village Inn camp grounds/resort at Turing Stone in central NY. Temps were in the 80 s. I think it had something to do with the UV action.

whitestar505We ve had two of polypropylene mats for almost two years and used them ALOT of days without any sign of fade.

You might have gotten a bad lot.  Time to see how the manufacturer warranties the product.

The store wrote me about the problem. They are going to change it out. They say it might of happened because I left it in the plastic wrap it came in. The mat was never used. Just exposed to the sun a lot on the storage rack on the trailer.
