This is a great, easy, and mess-free way to cook breakfast. The kids love it, too!
Eggs
Quart-size freezer ziploc bags
Omelet fixin s
Tortilla
Salsa
Put your eggs and omelet fixin s in the ziploc bag. Squeeze as much air out as you can, then seal the bag. Mix the ingredients by gently kneading the bag and place the bag in boiling water until it is cooked to your satisfaction. " Pour" the omelet out onto a tortilla.
These are VERY good and easy to make, particularly for a large group. A great way to keep the bags identified is to write your name on the outside of the bag with a sharpie marker. (The sharpie doesn t come off in the boiling water.)
TG1956You put the ziploc bag in boiling water? I didn t think you could do that? It does nt melt??
Wow...learn something new everyday! :)

I would think you d have to use " freezer" ziploc bags.
TG1956We do this at our cooking demos. Yes, you must use freezer bags and I prefer ZipLock bags. I would also suggest using the larger flour tortilla s. I did this recently at a Cub Scout Day Camp cooking demo (where they ate, did not cook) and they loved it. The adults were surprised also. It s lots of fun and if a large group, mark the bags with a felt marker. Enjoy.
TG1956Yes, like I said in the original post, put the fixin s in " quart-sized Ziploc bags" and write names using a " sharpie marker" . The bags don t melt in the water (surprised me, too!).
If you want, you can warm the tortillas on a skillet or griddle.
TG1956Oh...OK.....that s sounds like better, using the freezer ones. :)
