We re looking for a good campground - either public or private - for camping near Minneapolis or Prior Lake. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a KOA campground in Shakopee which is a neighboring community to Prior Lake. There is also a county campground in Apple Valley about twelve from Prior Lake. It is called the Dakota County Campground and it is on Johnny Cake Ridge Road just north of McAndrews.
