We made this while camping in Colorado this summer...THANKS!! It was very good and we made it on the stove top (like a skillet dinner) and it was a huge hit with everyone.

We intended to use a crock pot, but the one I bought on our way to Colorado only held about two cups...Boy, did I catch it for that!! My daughter didn't mind. She took it to college this fall and is using it for making nachos!

Just want you to know that this has become a family favorite, and not just my immediate family, but SIL, cousins, friends, etc, all love it and have asked for the recipe.   I always give you the credit, too.   Thanks for sharing this with us.

I don't think we're going to make it this winter.   Even with insurance, we've had a lot of expenses this past year with my surgeries, etc, and we may just hold off and wait til next year.   I'll miss going, and was really looking forward to getting together with you, but maybe another time.   Send me pics, tho, so I don't miss it so bad.

It is now 8:32 am.  I am sitting here at the computer having leftovers for breakfast and I can honestly say I see nothing wrong with that!!!  This dish is just as good the next day!

Geez Sharon. Thanksgiving is next week and I was starving myself until then so I could pig out and not feel guilty. Now you come along & remind me of the cream cheese chicken. Time to wake Peggy up & send her to the store.........:( ;)

For about the only time in our married lives we are going to be alone for Thanksgiving.  This wont stop us from being Thankful or from eating well, either.  Billy said he'd make us a fire and we may watch a football game and then listen to some good music ( not Bob Seger this time--but more likely  Beethoven or  Dvorak)  So I said to my darling, "what would you like for our TD meal--just about anything you want, I'll cook."  He started to drool and said, he thought Cream Cheese Chicken would be the very thing.  So, high praise, Sharon, we are having your chicken  on noodles as well as salad and I'll make him an apple pie and a pumpkin one.  I wont be up at 5AM wrestling the noble bird, so this is a pretty good arrangement for me.  Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

Well hello stranger, I haven't heard from you in ALONG time! :)  Oh, I'm sooo glad that you are enjoying this recipe.  And whats better, it will cook in the crockpot so on Thanksgiving, you don't have to worry about heating up the kitchen and all the cleaning up afterwards! :)

we wont be having any turkey left-overs this year, Nancy, but this sounds like another of your super ideaa.  Great hint  for anyone who has the Dreaded Leftover Turkey we so often face at the holidays.

And, Sharon, it is so great to be back!  Thanks for the welcoming words.  My life has been so darned complicated  since returning from a long trip, and then I had a dickens of a time figuring out how to access the new board (can you say "Computer Challenged?"  But here I am once again, just reading the recipes and enjoying reading them and seeing so many old friends at this forum  (I  am very sad at the loss of our archives, especially in this forum, but feel it wont be long until we catch up in many areas.

Yes, I have to admit that I did try the turkey version and it works just as well.
