Title: New FFT Model
Post by: Tim5055 on Dec 02, 2003, 11:35 PM
Well, before Dave left for the show I called him at the office and told him to keep an eye out for the new pop up we are looking for.

He called me tonight.

FFT is introducing their third Highlander model at the show.  Named the Hemlock, it has the slide out dinette we want as well as a hard wall shower.

I will be very interested to see the floorplan when it gets on the FFT site.

Maybe there is a new pop up in our future

My dealer said they expected new models to come out this winter and in the spring.  I am anxious to see the new floor plans too.  With the side out I wonder how much the weight will go up and if they would have to add a second axle.

Now there are talkin', 14 foot w/slide, I couldn't figure why they would make 2 models without a slide.... Might have to check one of these out!

I sure hope it's not 14', it would never fit in the garage.  12 without a front trunk will fit.

I just played around on the FFT site, you are correct.  The two they list are 14' with a closed length of 19'1".  That may fit.

I am guessing that the left the slide out to keep the weight down.  Only a guess on my part.

Yep...I told Holly I wouldn't consider one without a slide. The Highlanders are looking better and better!

I really think most new PUs in the next few years will have the high sides.  I gives you more inside storage when towing, (you could even put a few bikes in there) and there is less to do in order to pop down.

Who or what is FFT.

I haven't come across them in my pop up  search.
