1 cup butter or margarine
1 8 oz. package choc. chips
2 eggs (beaten)
1 lb. bag/box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup broken walnuts (optional)
Melt butter and choc. chips in microvare or on stove top. In a bowl, beat eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Fold in walnuts or any other item you want (i.e. miniture marshmallows, M & M's, gum drops, etc.), if using them. Line a 8-9" square pan with waxpaper or parchment paper and pour in fudge. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Turn out of pan, peel off wax/parchment paper and cut into squares. Will freeze well for 6-9 months.

Sounds good, but you don't cook it? What about the eggs? Have you made this before?

No, the only cooking is the first part on the stove top or in the microwave. This is a very old recipe and they didn't worry about cooking the eggs back then. I think my Aunt gave me this recipe and she used it in the 1950's. And, yes, I have made it many years ago, but I only make the Easy Fudge now because it is so much easier.
