Mine arrived today also. I like the Route 66 story a lot. The old PU article kind of hit home too, being my parents started out in an early 60's Apachee that was nothing but a silver box with a lot of tenting material on top!!!
Got ours today, good thing, we're having a spell of cabin fever here in the cold. This should occupy us for a while.

Got mine today (Saturday)! I really liked this issue. Great articles on Route 66, Preview of new campers, & photos of old campers.
I hope one day I can get a photo of my camper in an issue.
I got mine today but I have not read it. I have been out in the woods hiking and playing with the great grandson. Then I had to watch the IU game. If we get the weather that we are susposed to tomorrow I can read it then.
Mine was received today and I read it from cover to cover in one sitting!

I did the same thing. It is a very nice issue; I especially liked the article about good old Route 66--an important part of my growing-up years in Illinois. :)
I got mine yesterday. That was really fast. I have also read the issue and like Nightowl enjoyed the article on Route 66. We have driven on that road many times throughout the years. I am getting antsy to get on the road again. Good job.

Got mine in sunny So. California today (Monday). I loved the pictures and ads for the vintage trailers. And the ad for the Sentry trailer made me think that "everything old is new again." It really reminded me of some of those older pop-ups.
The reviews on the 2004 models really was interesting in the new features that are available, many of which have been on "wish lists" on this website, including heated mattresses and mattress pads. Hmm, wonder if that's where they got the idea.
I really liked all the info on "smaller" PU's. Gave me lot's of info/links for those people looking for something to camp in but not having a 3/4 ton truck to tow with.
Seems like there's a resurgence of "tent trailers" with low weights for folks with little or no tow capacity but a love of camping.
Now if the manufacturers can just get the word out, IMHO they'll make a lot of folks happy and safe campers.

We got ours..............very impressive! The whole package was well done. It made me go back in our photo albums to see if I could find pictures of our old pop-up, vintage 1960???? Loved the issue!

Got it! Another great issue! only.....I read it so fast that now I have to wait another two long months for another one to arrive (wishing it was monthly...). Guess I'll go reread it and some other back issues. I just love this magazine!

I can't remember the last time I got one. I think I only got one since I moved here in August. First our address was wrong... mail was getting forwarded from CT to p.o. box.... I don't think any got forwarded. Then I changed my address. But next, my membership expired right before the most recent magazine came out so I guess I missed that mailing. Oh well. I guess it will make it all that much more exciting when I get to see the next one!

BUT
I was able to meet Charlie (chasd60) this past weekend at Ft. Wilderness. :Y "So how do you like me now?" I'm, camping and you are all acting silly (but that is who you are and are comfortable with it) :)
We had a great time and Charlie has a new primo camper, oh and yes Charlie, Ray bought the XM Radio!
Note to the members: I found this board a few years back, I have met many friends here, some from way back from older boards and some since the new, the sense of humour may have been different than now days, but we all got along. I want to get back to THAT.
Oh and by the way I have print outs from way back when :yikes:
