Anybody ever been to this campground in Northern GA? We are thinking about going next weekend. Since we would be coming from the Nashville area, I like that fact that I can make a reservation.

Great campground ask for the west rim campground. You can see a few pictures of the canyon over on //www.tpuc.com click on trips and you will find a link.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. We go to Cloudland quite often....it's only about 1 hour from our house. We were there last weekend. The West Rim Campground is more wooded with some groundcover. The East Rim CG is pretty open. Red sites are 30 ft and Green are 50 ft. They are doing some work on some of the site entrances--widening them. The bathhouses are usually kept clean and in decent repair. There are several trails to waterfalls if you enjoy hiking. There is a hang-gliding park near there that IF the wind is blowing the right direction, there will be lots of folks running off the side of the mountain!!!! It's pretty cool to watch them. The observation deck is eye level with the ramp. Ask in the office for directions. It's pretty hilly so bikes may not be a good source of entertainment. The staff are a nice bunch of folks. The hosts had not arrived yet last weekend so I don't know how they will be.
Your reservation will be for a site but not a particular site. Most of the sites in the West Rim are good sites, just pick the one you like the best.

Thanks for the information. I just made our reservation. We have wanted to go to this campground for a long time. I am glad that we are finally getting to go!
