You can always tell when the camping season begins each year by the sudden appearance of large quanities of orange and white barrels along our highways..... Wife and I just returned from a five state camping trip and we had no trouble finding them just about everywhere we went.
Here in North Carolina, in the springtime, they multiply very rapidly, appearing faster than kudzu and are almost as
colorful..... I think the state should make them our official state flower.......
Has anybody ever figured out how to convert one into a holding tank??.....

Michigan only has 2 seasons winter  and construction :swear:
Campingcop has it right. Most northern states have two seasons: Winter and Road Repair.

:# "they multiply very rapidly, appearing faster than kudzu " :# AMEN! (And actually, kudzu--at least here in northeast Georgia--is edible, while these things would cause a massive case of indigestion if eaten :eyecrazy: )
And The Blooming Season Of The Orange Barrels is scarcely the kind of thing poets are inspired to dedicate their odes to--at least not in language fit for family consumption. :J
It is sure good to have you back with us again, OG. :W There are a lot of new faces since you last partied with us, but the "old ones" remaining from the original board are still as wacky as ever. :yikes:
Old Goat, I think that idea of making those things a dumping station is good. People would be less likely to try to cut around them then, lest......well, you get the idea. :D
Wow, you guys are lucky...you get orange barrel seasons. We don't, those barrells are out there 12 months per year around these parts!!!!
:swear:
You're talking about I-95. Right? :yikes:
