Birol, this is so tragic, but is not limited just to Turkey as I am sure you know. It happens all over the world where there are fanatical followers of certain sects of Islam, including in Paris. It is acts such as these which require the rage and intervention of the whole civilized world. I am glad to see that Turkey is now making a start in ending this horrible practice.
This is sick, why is there no justice in these crimes. :usflag:
As a victim of a(bad) crime I was glad I was able to prevail and go on and live my life.
I hope all their 72 vigins look like Janet Reno. :yikes: Oh and what are they going to do with these vigins, does seem godly to me ;)

This is so tragic. I've heard of the custom of family dishonor, but Turkey needs to get up with the times.
They don't mention what sentences the people got for raping or kidnapping... and the "light" sentence some of the killers got (just like a slap on the wrist), it truely seems like a case of "premeditation" (watching too much "law & order").
