Nice sites, great staff, great hiking, and 2 large reservoirs and a couple of neat ponds nearby for paddling, what MORE could one ask for? Oh yes, a brand new bathroom/shower facility with solar hot water and solar assisted electricity!
Vermont has always had the cleanest state campgrounds of all the New England states that I've visited. When turning in the mirror cards in other states, I've often offered to pay for a site at a VT state park, so they could see how one SHOULD be run! Which I am sure endears me to the staff at those parks, and I know due to budget constraints that funding for parks has been cut, but many of these parks had old stale food on the bathroom floors, bathrooms that smelled so bad you couldn't use them without gagging and sites that were carpeted in cigarette butts!
Anyway, Molly Stark is a small CG but is the cream of the crop! Sites were spotless as was the bathrooms! Free showers to boot! Obvciously, we loved this campground, and would recommend it to anyone who was into state or national park campgrounds, as opposed to hook-ups and planned activities!
Thanks Gary! It's on our list of places to try now!
Hi Kathy,
Sites 2 through 14 are in the woods with more privacy, less sunshine, but closer to the new bathhouse. Sites 15 to 23 are more open to sunlight, eyes, and are closer to the old bathhouse, which was freshly painted and clean, but decidedly older! Site 1 is kind of in the middle of it all, right at the junction of the two loops!
