Title: Bird Cookin Dust
Post by: champ521 on Jul 16, 2004, 12:00 PM
This is a recipe that I have used at a couple of rallies and people can't seem to get enough. I use it on chicken.

1/4 cup course ground salt             1 tsp red pepper (cayenne)
3 TBSP light brown sugar                1 tsp granulated sugar
2 TBSP ground white pepper           1 tsp onion powder
1 TBSP garlic powder                     1 tsp ground cumin
1 TBSP paprika                             2 tsp lemon pepper
1 TBSP chili powder

Combine all ingredients.

I'll leave out the cayenne if I'm making it for mixed company and I'm not sure of everyones spice/heat tolerance. Be sure to sprinkle some under the skin. You can let the meat marinade for up to 12 hours but I put it on just before lighting the coals.Enjoy.
