Title: Another one bites the dust
Post by: jazman on Aug 07, 2004, 09:35 AM
I guess the trigger for this event was rain...

Last week we were camping in the Finger Lakes region of NY, and we got rain 3.5 days out of 5. We made do, and had a pretty good time. On the way home my wife commented that all the rain had made the campground bathrooms very nasty, and if we ever upgraded we were going to have our own bathroom.

Yesterday, I went into the RV store to by a new cabinet latch, and they had a leftover hybrid on the floor. I was poking around and the sales person came up to me and said "This unit's on sale".

"How much off the sticker" I ask?

"$5000" she says.

"Sold" I say.

The moral of the story - STAY OUT OF THE RV STORE.  :D

So, Monday I'll be taking delivery of a 2004 Jayco Jayflight EXP 18F. I guess I'm moving toward the darkside  :yikes:

welcome to the grey side!, we POP OUT instead of up! congrats on your new hybrid, they do take you in, and they are hard to say no to, special if the price is right. Once you learn how to back it up, your'll love it even more! Cipa brand of mirrors we found are the best! they don't move, they don't vibrate, and they fit over your mirrors like a glove! and install in less then a minute.

WOW!!

How cool Jaz!  What a coincidence...  As you know we got rained out of North Lake 2 weekends ago, and got rained out of KOA a few days ago...  We have been TRYING to see a SunValley RoadRunner 162 http://www.sunvalleyinc.com/floorplans/roadrunner/rr162.htm (//%22http://www.sunvalleyinc.com/floorplans/roadrunner/rr162.htm%22)
at the RV dealer near our house, but everytime we go, it is closed...  The past 2 weeks off, we really tried to do a LOT of camping, but we got wet all the time, and like you said, it would be nice to shower in MY shower inside the camper.  We have the outside shower on the Carmel, but there is something weird about scrubbing yourself outside...  :eyecrazy: If they give us a good deal on this one we might jump on it.

GOOD LUCK and can't wait to see it!!

There is NOTHING like being able to wake up before everyone, quietly slide into the bathroom and shower up in your own bathroom!  It might be small, but it's clean and I know who's been there before me!  ;)  I have to say, having our own bathroom has made a WORLD of difference in camping for us.
