Debbieedee1957,

HA HA !!!!!!   The sucessful and devious plot to entrap innocent, outdoorsey types to addict themselves to Geocaching continues.  We will have you ALL sooner or later. :Z

Symptoms of a serious case of Geo-fever are:  What kind of GPSr to get, searching for that first cache to do and another reason to be glued to the monitor surfing till all hours.  :yikes:

As I reside in kinda the same part of Penns Woods as you give me a shout if you need any help or are looking for a caching partner.  I cache all over NE, N. Central, Central and SE Pa.

A little self-promotion...;) ...my caches in Mountaintop & Danville.

I've been caching on and off for the last 3 or so years. Got Nick and CA-Girl from NNC hooked. We went camping this past weekend and it was Nick's first one. He had a blast.

We found Pigeon's Roost and Marsh Maracas.

Here's my self promotion:

Sounds of the Bay
Take-a-Peak
Short and Winding Road

CA-Girl's:

Sacramento Bee

Happy Geocaching all and you won't find any unless you go out there!

Surfcal

P.S.  We should start a PUT Members cache site thread and maybe we can find the caches of PUT members.

I had a great time caching!  And yes I'm hooked now too.  Been looking around for a GPS.  I like the Garmin that Surfcal has and will probably get one like it.
Title: Our first cache! Grand Canyon NP May 2005
Post by: debbiedee1957 on May 29, 2005, 06:51 AM
It's a ways down in the pics...towards the end of the first 100 posted in Trip "out west".

http://community.webshots.com/user/serenity18466

The cache was located just outside the NP entrance of South Rim, Grand Canyon NP.

It was fun looking for & then actually locating the cache and looking inside!!!!!

Not yet, but TheAlabamaRambler picked up a couple at Geowoodstock last week, I hear!  Seems our webmaster has a shipment arriving from GS soon.
I saw that camping event posted this am!  Wish we could attend, but have plans for somewhere else that weekend.  (Also not sure the DW would like boondockin'!) :D  :D
Our name on gc.com is Pudman&Pookie2. Alacache handle is the same as here.
