Dave, before you delete this, remember that in the rules, it states I AM allowed to bash PUT as long as it is done factually...

Yup!! No Big surprise that that Bearbait & Birol thread was locked after you posted something extremely controversial and underhanded and deleted Elisa's response... a decidedly sneaky and low thing to do. Unfortunately you did it before I could respond so I'm posting this... I know it will be deleted quickly but at least a few will get the chance to read this before it's gone. Read fast!!!

Well then I guess it's no coincidence that Forestcreature and Cyclone are back and I assume Genef and Jeffrey are soon to follow.

I promised myself and others that I was going to be a good girl and behave myself here but this is ludicrous.

You claim you lost others because of Birol, but the way I see it, they left of their own free will. You said you want them back, well now, you've got them. I hope you are happy to trade one member for another because now you need to get ready to lose some more becuse of the way you have handled this situation.

I'm outta here. And I know for a fact that several others will be headed out too, sooner or later. I know some who already left because of the lack of caring you show to the members here. You pick and choose who gets treated with respect when, as paying members, we are ALL deserving of it.

No, I won't be letting the door hit me on the way out, because I am slamming it behing me in all your hypocritical faces.

Dave, if you are deluded enough to think you have not lost other members because of shabby treatmnet, then read on... here is a private e-mail I got a little while ago....:

Just what thread are you going to post to? Are they now saying that people have left the board because of one member? Here again they are referring to us as "Board Killers" in their own way.....like one person is driving people off the board. You are free to call names of those who have left because of all the sarcasm and nasty posts made by others. Include B-flat, MrGadget, Flyfisherman, wahoonc, brydr1,CoopersNest and plenty of others if you are going to call names. I did not renew and plenty of others will not be renewing because of the direction the board has taken. We were on the original PUT board and go way back when. Let PUT know that respectful and intelligent people don't have to put up with their crap and that is why people leave. Be sure to let them know that whenever the subject of PUT or the magazine comes up we are all going to say it is trash and is not worth the money because of the inferior management of the business in the way it has treated its paying members.

If you make that post, be sure to send an email to PUT to remove you before they ban you.

QuoteHow about? "Nuts!"

To give credit were credit is do here is the website I found this.
The Battle of the Bulge (http://helios.acomp.usf.edu/~dsargent/bestbulge2.htm)

On December 22 German officers under the flag of truce delivered a message from General der Panzertruppe von Luttwitz Commander of XLVII Panzerhops, demanding the surrender of Bastogne. After receiving the message Brigadier General Mcauliffe exclaimed "Aw, nuts" which was his official reply to the request for surrender. This message was delivered by Joseph Harper to the Germans. He told the Germans it meant they could all go to Hell.
