We are new to the state and would like to get involved with a local group near us.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to Virginia.  I see you are in Roanoake.  Since I am new to Virginia as well, I have no idea of where the good campgrounds are.  Send me an e-mail and then we can stay in touch and hopefully meet somewhere central to both our locations.

I am new to pop up camping I have been looking at some state parks ie, Chippokes,pocohontis?, and newport news city park to try my luck at as soon as spring hits..I dont know of any local groups.

Wow, so many new people in VA now into popup camping..

Welcome to all.. There have been a few people trying form groups..

I hope that we can get enough attention to form a group..

We are from Northern VA, and members of this board for years.. Please let us know if a group forms..  
We will be camping with a group in PA in April.. Good luck to all.

New to PUP camping in VA, Live in the Luray area, work at Shenandoah NP (as does wife and son) Not much time to travel but willing to consider alsmost anything. Lets go camping!

Now that just makes me jealous! :) We LOVE SNP! You work right in some of our favorite camping places. We love camping in the park and have stayed in a couple of the PATC cabins several times.

Hello All,

We too are new to camping and this forum. Looks like we need a Virginia PopUp Club (VAPUC) or is there already one. Been looking for something local like in the Tidewater area. But statewide would be cool too!!!

The rules for this club rules me out. The forms says it is for pop-ups and Hybirds.  I just went from a pop up to a travel trailer.

Sorry not sure what the rules will be, This club of campers is less than a week old. We need to decide on what the rules about who is in and who is not.
