Has anyone visited any of the campgrounds in Sante Fe.
How was it.
Did not stay within the city, but within a 20 to 30 minute drive, iirc.
There is a COE campground just southwest of Santa Fe called Cochiti Lake. I absolutely loved it! It's several miles off the highway and the sites are pretty well spaced. There aren't many trees, but I don't think there are many trees in NM in general! ;) I'd go back any time. There are electric hookups. You can hook up to water if you're willing to put out a long hose ~ I just filled my water containers!
You can find more information at the Explore New Mexico (http://www.explorenm.com/camping/Cochiti/) website.
There are also some links at the bottom of this page. (http://www.recreation.gov/detail.cfm?ID=485)
