Title: What kind of Fall weather is this?
Post by: cyclone on Oct 19, 2004, 07:10 PM
Friday 75/61
Saturday 75/58  Hazy sunshine and 25% chance of isolated thunderstorm
Sunday 77/58

I know I live in TN but this isn't typical for this time of year.  And yes, I'm going camping!!  Winterize???  What's that? ;)

I am heading out to go to the lake this weekend. I like camping in October where the highs will be 73, and the lows of 59. May even go swimming. Now if it don't rain, that will be a plus. Sure beats camping in upstate NY at this time of the year.... for sure. I remember in the older days that the temp. during the day didn't even hit the lows here in GA.

Sure rub it in.  I am hoping to camp this weekend, if I will be dry.  I don't like drying out a wet PU when it is cold out. :eyecrazy:

Can't believe how many people check in when they are away from home!

Hi Dee!

I'd stay in Arkansas if I were there too!  Barely making it into the 50s here and not a whole lot of sun.  Had a beautiful weekend 2 weeks ago and we're sliding right into cold wet weather!  YUCK.

to save on phone calls its easier to check in on -line, and talk with the family. so i check in twice a day, while on the road.

nasty, rainy, week for us here too...mid 50s.  Not real cold yet, but certainly not great camping weather.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, RUB it in!! It's been in the high 20's and low 30's almost every morning for the past week or two. There's snow on the mountains about 10 miles away from my house. The camper is winterized and the camper roof is tarped, the kayaks are almost ready for thir long winter's nap and I'm waxing the cross country skis this weekend!

High's have been lingering in the high 40's most of these days, then in the afternoons when the sun finally makes it through the fog and clouds, it warms up to 55 or so for about 20 minutes, then the sun sets! Excuse me a minute... "Hey dear... Remind me again WHY I didn't stay in Maryland, Virginia or Florida????"

Oh well, That's Vermont!!!

Ahhhh...I lived in Florida and hated it.....Live in Virginia now and don't like the humid summers....DH is from MD....Vermont is my dream state! I LOVE the winter time and cooler weather!

It's one of those "grass is always greener" things I guess....;)

Hi Vicki!
Vermont is beautiful as long as you don't mind 6 months of winter! You are right though, the grass always does seem greener someplace else! I'd rather have the snow than hurricanes and humidity. At least I can ski in the snow!
