Title: have it narrowed to either Starcraft or Jayco
Post by: skippy102162 on Mar 11, 2005, 06:00 AM
We have the Hybrids that we like/or can tow with narrowed down to the Starcraft 19ck and the Jayco 19, but my dealer says he's only getting one more Jayco 19 in for the year (he sells both Jayco and Starcraft).  I guess I am not understanding that--is this just a ploy for him to get me to go with the Starcraft he has on his lot?  Why wouldn't he be able to order me one from the company if he doesn't have it on the lot?

If this is an attempt to put you into what the dealer wants, use it to your advantage and get a better price on that trailer.

If you really have your sights on the other trailer, tell the guy that if he won't order it for you, you'll find a dealer that will.

Nothing gets their attention more than turning towards the door.

Best of luck.

we have the starcraft 21sso, and we love it. this is our third starcraft, and only gave them up to upgrade, not because of any problems

We were in the same delimma as yourself, we decided on Jayco mainly due to the layout and the longer warranty.  Jayco offers 2  + 3 warranty, 2 years bumper-to-bumper, and the 3rd year parts only.  Starcraft reduced their warranty for the 05 models to 1 year.   [/b]

We did it!  After looking at both rigs side by side, we decided on the Jayco--a lot because of the warranty and because of the additional 5" of width.  Got a good price (I think).  Should take delivery about mid-April!  ;)

Congratulations, I'm quite sure you will enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours.  Also what model did you get.

We went with the Jayco 19H.  We needed to watch our weight, so went with the shorter one.

Is the RVQ grill they want to "throw in" worth it?  Or should I get a cook stove for the outside?
