Title: Good deal or not
Post by: mscook on Apr 17, 2005, 09:15 PM
I was wondering if I got a good deal on my 1999 Coleman Westlake Pop Up.  It has almost every option you can get and I paid $4625 for the camper.  I am new to this site but plan on viewing  alot.  Thanks for any feedback. :usflag:

Holy Cow!

I haven't looked it up on NADA, but that sounds like a great deal.

Welcome to PUT!

Thank You for the feedback.  The camper is in really good shape and we are ready to try it out. I was just lucky I guess.

That sounds like a really good deal.  We bought our 2001 Westlake new in April 2001 and paid 9,000 for it.  It has many options except air.  We also added the Yakima cross bars later on for $400.

I'd look it up on NADA, if it comes in near 4K, it is still a good deal. I would have a hard time coming up with $12K or more on a new, loaded model, especially because our ussage is less than 6 times or so per year. But $4k for a nice model, I could certainly go for that (and did).

I had a very similar deal on our '99 Bayside (purchased two years ago from dear friends). It was in very good shape, everything worked, and clean inside and out, had all the options we would want. By now, I think I have gotten my money's worth. The roof does have some sag, but it hasn't worsened, and we still haven't changed title, so, if I want, I guess I could always try to get the roof replaced via the original owners.

Good luck.
