Well, it worked for me this AM, and now it doesn't work for me either!

Anyway, it was basically a story about a fifth wheel RV'er who dumped his blackwater in a parking lot (or the grass next to it). He was reported by someone to the store owner, and when confronted, he said it was just gray water. The owner and witnesses said it was "clearly" sewage, with bits of toilet paper and feces present. The driver said that was already there, and he was just dumping gray water. The owner said it was obviously fresh, and there were no other trailers around.

It required an environmental cleanup, and is being openly investigated. The driver drove away, and the owner reported him to Michigan police.

That is totally disgusting.  There are dumpstation all over the interstate system at rest stops.  There is no reason to dump in the open.  I hope they get the guy that did it.  :)

Yes it is disgusting! Here in MI there are no dumping stations at Rest Stops along the interstate. All the person would have to of put out is a daily entry fee or yearly pass to any State Park and could have dumped all he wanted legally. In that area there is no shortage of State Parks.

Yikes!!!!  that is pretty disgusting.

It drums up visions of Uncle Eddie dumping his Winnabago's  "stuff"  in Clark Grizwald's sewer in the movie "Christmas Vacation"

 Some people have no class!

I beleive it.  Last week I was at a tailate thing and some J.A. dumped his old Charcole cinders out right smack dab in the middle of the lot so the wind could blow it at me including hot cinders.  When I suggested that he pour water over his ashes first he told me to "GO To McDonalds!"  ?!?!?!?!?! I was so puzzled by his reply I just walked back to our set up in a semi stunned state.  But Two Wrongs dont make a right. SO I let it go which seems to become a constant chore latley around folks wh need to have a condo sized camping set up.  Perhaps I should have told him "Go to Holiday Inn!"  Any ways Since I have gone Tent free my choices for rustic(far from the madding crowd) camping have been limited BUT I'm not gonna let it get me down.  In the mean time I have been excersizing patience and tolerence and driving out just a bit further into the wilderness.  Thats why I love POPUPS  you can still find places where Knuckleheads like Mr. Sewage dumping lier man cant get too cause they wanna have a microwave and electric blanket after their all night sleepdepervation experiments over.:compumad:   whew!
Thanks for letting me rant!

This is an admission of guilt.  No state allows open dumping of grey water in populated areas.

A few years back I was snowmobiling with some friends in northern Wisconsin. I saw a septic hauler (a medium sized tanker truck used to haul off septic system waste, for you city-slickers  ;) ) just off the trail, back in the woods, emptying the contents of his truck into a stream.  :eyecrazy:  He was using about 500' of the snowmobile trail to get off the road, and not be seen from the road. From the number of truck tire ruts in the trail, it appeared as though he had dumped there numerous times in the past few days. Some people are just clueless...
