I'll start it off with a GPS, a 2 million candlepower spotlight, a 10 million candlepower spotlight, but I also got a little pocket flashlight from my 9 yo daughter Ashlee that she paid for herself, that will always be the brightest one in my book. I also got some VISA gift cards that I will using towards an Electric tongue jack for the TT.
However, to all my camping friends (and you know who you are) I will be using the other two spotlights mentioned above to torment every now and then when we are out at a CG! LOL
OK i'll tell you what I got for the PU for Christmas. I got a Weber Baby Q grill with a stand and a carring bag from my wife and little girls. My mom gave me a gift certificate for Camping World. And believe me i will use them both. Viking the best gifts are the special ones we recieve from our little one's. Mine are both in pre-school and they each made me an art project for Christmas, and i'll keep them forever....Hope everyone was as lucky as me.............Ed C. :sombraro: :XMas
I got a Coleman perfect flow propane skillet and a big bottle of Thetford toilet chemical.:)
I didn't get anything for our Hybred, unless you want to count the 2 DVDs. Received some other real neat stuff from hubby, kids, and grandkids. The best part was spending Christmas with the kids and grandkids. Christmas is so much more fun with 5 grandkids running around all excited. They are such a joy.
Happy Holidays and a fun filled New Year everyone.
Joan
I got a thermo-electric cooler (actually, I bought it myself and told my husband that it was his gift to me :D ) With the kids constantly in and out of the cooler for drinks I was buying ice twice a day.
We got 2- 12' surf casting rods & reels, a small compact "Cyclone" blender (for making Margaritas), a propane deep fryer that I have no idea what I will do with (re-gift :p ), CampingWorld gift card, a cool flash light and a wonderful loving family that is looking forward to another year of great camping :D .

Mmmm...our daughters got Leapsters and Gameboys to entertain them during the roadtrips to campgrounds...and I got a handheld Tetris to manipulate since I can't have my Tivo remote when we are camping....oh! And I got a foot spa to soak my weary feet in after our camping trips. :p Bran got flashlights that need no batteries (Did you see them at Costco? Great deal!) and that Christmas-themed pop-up tent trailer lighted decoration.
Oh, and Viking....my youngest got an kiddie electric guitar, with a microphone headset---and she has been singing her original songs for days (and driving us crazy!)....so, BRING IT! Bring on the spotlight....I will just plop her right out there for all to enjoy!!!
Happy New Year's All!
Lisa
I got a digital camera (Paul has to be dragged kicking and screaming into new technology) so I can finally maybe upload some pics of camping trips, a Norah Jones CD to calm my frazzled nerves after a long drive with fighting kids, and best of all, an Apples to Apples game for those rare SCCampers campouts without Dee! We played it Christmas night, had fun, but it just wasn't as fun as it was in Pismo with the group. I can't figure out if it was the lack of people or the lack of alcohol! :p
I got a 14" dutch oven. I want to build a fire in the driveway so I can try it.

We have used our Dutch ovens inside our regular oven. One need not wait for a campfire to DO!
Austin
My DW bought me a Crock Pot!
We took part in some campground potluck dinners last year, and we struggled to cook stuff for the large groups. We noticed the proliferation of crock pots and DUs by the more experienced campers at these events, so voila! I am now the owner of a crock pot for the PU!
Now we just have to make sure we have hookups when we attend a campout with a potluck!
I got a nice green camping mat :D I threw away the old one we had and the past 2 trips have been miserable without something to catch the dirt & leaves. Can't wait for next season.

So, how do you do it? Set the oven for 350 and pop the DO in? Do you have to alter cooking times? Was thinking of doing some DO wings for a gathering on Saturday, but didn't want to spend time outdoors replenishing briquettes more frequently because of cold.
What do you do with a 14" DO? The thing's big enough you could just about crawl into it. No. You wouldn't. You couldn't. Please tell me you don't!
BTW, got no camping gear for Christmas. That's OK, now I can get what I want! :D

Perhaps it was the lack of taking a trip to the "bathroom" after the game was over??? Just a thought....;) :p :D

Oh, you guys just won't believe me. I could surely be more creative than the bathroom! ;)

You can always use a converter for the cigarette lighter of your car and use that! I also use my crockpot to keep stuff warm at potlucks, such as french toast that will get pretty bad if left in an open container while everyone goes through the line. I love my crockpot.
I got a set of non-stick pans, a 3 qt crockpot, a throw for the couch to keep me warm when napping, some DVD's & CD's and a griddle that I will exchange for an electric skillet. We also received a $100. gc to WW from our friends for what ever we didn't get for our HTT. Santa brought me a heavy glass glass as I do not like plastic glasses. Our DGD's DVD player quit so we gave her the one from the HTT and we will replace it with a DVD/VCR in the near future. There are still several things on our list so the gc will come in handy. Glad everyone had a good Christmas. Happy New Year and great camping memories in 2006.
let's see I got the 10 pk of level blocks, a tow mirror, a portable tire compressor,
a propane lantern & an inverter for the 12v recepticle..Camping worlds "wish List" is a beautiful thing...now to go camping and use this stuff

Show off :D
My PU got a Coleman Hot Water on Demand. I think I'll try it out in the spring.
I got a digital camera from my husband, and I also got a dutch oven and 2 cookbooks. All you SCCapmers better get ready, I'm gonna experiment on you! Bring on the potlucks.
I got a gameboy (still a kid, I guess) and a camping watch so I don't ruin any more "nice" watches when camping. This one is waterproof, etc. We'll see! :p
Oh Kelly, your camper will LOVE the hot water on demand. Lucky you! :D

Kelly,
Just be careful with all your little ones.
Hasn't it been wonderful warm the past few weeks? For a while there I thought we might loose all the December snow. Not any more. ;)
Austin
We got telescoping tent poles for use in erecting tarps in bad weather. Also decided as a gift from us to the Aliner, DH and I are waiting till spring and either getting that newly custom designed Paha Que add a room for the Aliner or a larger QuickShade .

You shoveled this morning, too?
I'll just have to make a new rule for the kids ~ they're pretty good most of the time! ;) Besides they might figure out if they know how to get hot water they know how to do dishes and mom will put them to work!!
Hey Jan ~ DS got a gameboy too! Maybe you are still a kid :D
Kelly,
I just noticed your sidebar ("ABs quiet neighbor in Minnesota"). How long have you had that? I consider it an honor to be mentioned like that!

Took you long enough! LOL
I think I changed it shortly after we got back from Forestville. :D
My kids got me the 2006 Rand McNally Road Atlas (I'd asked for it), and it's very nice - shows construction zones. It will go in my PUP, and the old one (2000) will come back into the house (for use when I can't use computer). We have a second photo printer - somewhere, which we hope to find room for in the PUP to use this camping season! (That wasn't a gift - it was a back-up purchase a few years ago).
I got to spend 11 nites out in PUP
Our PUP got a brand new TV
Quote from: ScoobyDooI got to spend 11 nites out in PUP
Was that by choice, or were you in the proverbial dog house, but got upgraded to the PUP? :p
I apparently got bed sheets for our trailer. I just need to wait for them to arrive.
:) This makes me very happy. :) It will keep the mattress cover nice and clean. It's certainly a lot easier to fit the bed sheets instead of the mattresses into the washing machine.:eyecrazy:
I got a new set of tires for our very faithful Dodge Ram pickup and tow vehicle...they have a 60,000mile tread rating and certainly ride a lot smoother than the old set which were worn down to the wear marks....We went camping in Florida after Christmas and put over 1500 miles on them....
Not really a Christmas gift but I got a new Tow Vehicle just before Thanksgiving. Now I just got to pay it off.

So which TV are you going to bring to the Eastern Rally this summer? Oh let me guess, new TV to go with the new camping buddy.;)
I cleaned up pretty good this year for camper goodies
- 1.8cu ft. dorm fridge
- 13" TV/DVD combo
- Winegard Hideaway HA-0130 Folding antenna & booster
- do it yourself bike rack parts
- 120 piece tool kit to keep in the camper
- Home Kit for my XM Roady (to keep in the camper)
- 2nd 6 gallon grey water container
We got a telescope, and like Camping Coxes a digital camera (I hate getting film developed!!) and an Apples to Apples game. Now we actually need to go camping to try everything out. I'm with Trina, I don't think A to A is the same without all our SC Campers playing too.:)
Jacqui
I got an electric heated mattress cover. We camped in November this year and froze the first night. I am looking forward to early spring camping to use my new toy!
I Got a HOBO PIE MAKER!!! :)
