Title: pull thru versus backing in
Post by: edhawk on Jan 08, 2006, 02:11 PM
I have seen a few campgrounds offer different rates for pull thru (full hookup, $34.95) versus "standard back in" (water/electric, $24.95) and "premium back in" (full hook up, $35.95). What is all this about? Why would a premium back up site with full hook up be more expensive than a pull thru with full hookup? Logic tells me it should be cheaper.

Maybe it offers more privacy?

The pull-throughs that I've seen tend to be the sites that are parallel to one another and lined up like sardines.

Maybe the premium back-in sites are totally private.

It would be something to ask the campground owner/manager.

I would expect that you get something extra on the premium site that you don't get on the other sites.  The only way to know for sure is to ask the campground what the difference in the sites are.:)
