My dh makes this everytime we go camping. I don't remember where we got the recipe. I think I got it on-line some where.

Can I make this in a regular oven? Sounds great but I don't do the dutch oven thing.

Any thing that can be made in a dutch oven can be made in a regular one.
for this recipe you would need to fry the bacon first, I do this on my stove even while doing the dutch oven thing, cause I like my bacon crisp and am not patient enough to wait for coal frying. Then fry pototoes and onions, etc.
Layer as the recipe states (as pointed out before there are variations, go to
//www.macscouter.com) cook at 350 for the same time as for the DO.
enjoy.
