So how long has it been that you've been hauling that tent-on-wheels?

It will be a year in June.  Does that mean my 11 year old PU is brand new?   :D

Bought it new in 1999! Best investment I've made! Wish I could decide what to buy next as easily as I decided on this one! Guess that means I'm not ready to move to a different camper yet!

Parents bought this PUP ('74 or '75 Coleman Brandywine) in '76, I have camped in it semi regularly 'til 2003, when discovered leak had caused canvas rot. So now I am putting in new canvas and doing some other upgrades. So about 3 decades, and about to go on fourth as soon as upgrades are done.

Dream on dude!!  The Harley was Randy's dream too but his boss had one and went down on it a few months ago.  He was in intensive care for a week.   Momma just stomped on his dream.  He settled for a pool table instead:D .

That is exactly why I told Dave that if he wants to get a Harley, he can get one ONLY AFTER he takes out a $1,000,000 life insurance policy with me as the beneficiary for when (not if) some driver doesn't look, cuts him off, and takes him out. And I promise to be really ticked off at him at his funeral.

But other than that, I don't mind if he gets a Harley. :Z

On a happier note, I can't wait to see you in a couple of months!!!!! It's been way toooooooooooo long!!!!! Griffin was just talking about his camping buddy Matthew and how they wouldn't share the chair together. Of all the memories those two have, that's the one Griffin chooses to pull up!:J

Amen sister!!!

Matt is excited to see his little buddy too.   Our poor little Westie is just itching to go camping.  Too bad it won't be till Yosemite. .  We took her in for a service 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard from the dealer.  They don't work on them in the rain and it has rained almost everyday for 6 weeks.  The good thing is my garage has sooo much room in it right now.  It is nice having free storage:D

Owned ours since sometime last month or the previous month.  My father, who is 75 years old, purchased it after he sold his house and came to live with us in anticipation of his trip to Nebraska to visit his sister.  Brought it to the house, and one day, while we were outside, I asked him if he really thought he'd be able to crank it up.  "Well, it goes down easy, I lowered it at the RV store." he replied.  "Well," I said, " it has that A/C on the roof, and that has to add some weight to it to raise it.  Let's pop it up and see."

Unfortunatly, he wasn't able to raise it all the way, got winded, and realized that it'd be even harder to do after driving all day.  I purchased it from him for what he paid for it, and he is in Omaha now.  Found a motel that would let him keep his chow with him.  We had found a nice '82 travel trailer that he could have bought, but he waited too long and someone else snatched it up.

Sometimes, I feel a little disappointed in the RV dealer for selling it to him.  It is obvious that he is older, and even I questioned his ability to raise the unit.  But, I guess they just sell 'em.  Don't want to possibly lose a commision.

We bought our Forest River Flagstaff pop-up new in 2003.  It feels like our second little home.  We enjoy long weekend trips to Chama, N.M. and camping at the Rio Chama RV Park near the Cumbres Toltec Railroad.  Popup camping has given my wife and I a  form of recreation that we both enjoy alot.  It has brought us very close together.
