Title: electrical short
Post by: ADM47 on May 25, 2006, 06:45 PM
Have an 04 Viking Epic with electrical problems.  The curcuit protection fuse in my converter box blows the overhead dome lites fuse whenever I insert it (the protective fuse) into the slot.  i currently do not have the protective fuse inserted and the dome lites work fine, but am uncomfortable with this arrangement.  Do I have a short circuit somewhere?

:eyecrazy: Are you saying that the dome lights are working with NO fuse

If that's the case......it sounds like it may be a problem in the converter. If there is no fuse, you should have no power.

Or maybe a previous owner rewired something (or 2 wires are touching each other) and the dome light circuit is being back-fed
