Our popup gizmos just arrived today but it is too rainy to try them out. One question for those of you who have them: Are you able to leave them on all the time (even when closed up) or do you put them on and take them off when the trip is over?
You put them on and take them off. I find it easier if I stop when the roof is about half way up and set the top two clips on each side. Then once it's all the way up I can add the lower clips.
We take ours on and off every time. When they come off, we fold them up and put them under the mattress. One on each end, that way it is easier to put them on later. Pull out the bed, lift mattress up and put on gizmo covers.

thanks for the replies. I was hoping for some "we leave them on" people. Maybe I will be the first to try it.
we take ours off also.. I bet you will find that they wil not stay attached with the clips as you tuck and close, and the clips may "cut" canvas or vinyl when compressed between the roof and mattress.
Hey! I leave mine on when I fold up the camper, as long as they are not wet. Never had a problem other than a few of the clips falling off.
We never take our off (unless they are wet). We just leave them on when we pop down and they are ready to go the next time we pop up. One less thing to mess with. We've never even lost a clip :D .
We leave ours on, but what I did was to put velcro on the top of the covers and attached them to the inside of the roof this way when the roof is all the way up it holds the covers in place and then all i have to do is clip them around the edges. I dont want to keep the clips on when i close it up, I'm afraid it will tear the tent. Everytime you pop-up the covers are in place and you dont have to mess with trying to get them in place...........Ed :sombraro:
