Title: Rock Crusher Canyon, Crystal River FL
Post by: dtamez on Apr 04, 2007, 07:09 PM
This is a nice campground if you have a big coach or a 5th wheel, but it's not that great for pop-ups.  The sites are mostly wooded with natural (no concrete or paved) sites.  Although our Coleman has a potty/shower included, it's usually just as easy to use the campground facilities than deal with wastewater.  However, at Rock Crusher Canyon, the shower/bath houses are few and far between, although they are clean.  The park was mostly filled with snowbirds and other long-term residents.  There  is a pool, clubhouse and hot tub, full of kids most of the time.  They do not allow fire pits, open fires, or open grills of any kind, nor do they provide them in the park.  It's close to Homassassa Springs Wildlife Park and other "nature coast" attractions.  A bit pricey at $76 for two nights.  All in all, no return is planned.
