You have to live right in order to catch those lake trout! Boy, they sure are good looking fish! (And the boys look kinda happy, too!)
I see you also visit the White River in Arkansas. My favorite place to stay there is the Bull shoals Sate Park right there on the river. I tote my canoe boat out that way (carry it on the popup) and launch it right there at the Bull Shoals C/G. One of my favorite day trips is to leave the C/G and go downriver to Wildcat Shoals. Have caught some serious sized brown trout on that stretch. Usually get someone there at the C/G to spot my truck so I can get back to the popup!

I cooked them on the grill with a few special spices and yes they were very tasty!!!!

We used jointed (j-7) Rapelas that looked like golden roach minnows. We only had 2 at the time. So I went to Bass Pro Shop the next day and bought the last 3 that they had. Went fishing again but the weather turned cold and the fishing has slowed way down.
