I have noticed that some campers have 4 or 6 inch tubes strapped to the front or the back of the trailer with capped ends.
What do people keep in them, tent poles and such?

I put the underbunk poles in mine. Front in front, back in back. Also campfire forks.

Some people put their outdoor rug in them.

I'm not sure what campers are putting in the tubes, but I have seen the same on trucks and know people store fishing rods in them.
