Title: Lubing up/replacing a Palomino lift system?
Post by: matheny82 on Jun 25, 2007, 10:53 AM
I recently bought a '94 Palomino Filly PU and it seems like it is getting harder and harder to lift.  Does anyone know where I need to grease it up and what I should use?  The last owner has spliced the cable back together up near the crank.  How big of a job is it to replace the cables?  Thanks!

our 2004 has a couple zirks underneath.  best to call palomino/vangard/forest river direct - i hear they have good support.  you may also be able to get an owner's manual from them.

have no idea what lift system you have, below is a link to onekind:

I had a '94 Palomino Stallion and I believe there were grease zerks underneath. The Palomino lift system is all contained under the trailer, and it pushes the lift rods up through the tubes that you can see under each corner.

You can go to this site (http://www.palominorv.com/palomino/site/default.asp?page=literature) and request that Palomino send you an owner's manual. They sent one to my Dad for free.
