Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

We just got back from Colorado, it was our first time in that state and we loved it.

Hello Funrover.

My father was born and raised in Trindad [1915]. My grandfather was born and raised in Silver Plume [1889]. My wife's family also lived in Trinidad around 80 years ago.

We flew into Denver, rented a car and drove to the places below; however, not in that order. I just wrote them down as I remembered.

Denver, Montrose, Colorado Springs, Pike's Peak, Gunnison, Trinidad, Sliver Plume, Vail, Glenwood Springs. Plus a few other places that I can't remember.

We had a wonderful time. We were there for 7 days, it snowed on us everyday but the day we left. Because we live in SoCal, the snow was very nice. Plus we had a 4x4 rental Suburban so the snow covered roads weren't a problem either.

Below, if I did it right, is a picture I took as we were driving this very windy and very beautiful road.

After talking about snow covered roads, I figured I'd better show you one.

It's 104 today in Sacramento.  We're going to Big Sur State Park which is just south of Monterey on the coast in a few days.  The high there will likely be 72.  It's funny I know, but we will likely feel like it's freezing and have the jackets on!

Nice pics!
Thanks for sharing.

Are y'all part of the local Land Rover club?
If so, you may know some friends of ours.
What area is your camp in these pics?
