Title: Torreya State Park, Bristol Florida

  We were planning to stay at Torreya on my days off this week, but we have developed some new leaks in our PUP that must be dealt with first.  We decided instead to visit the park since it was only a half hour away.  We say two other families camping there, one in a TT (never saw a vehicle though) and one in the YURT (Year-round Universal Recreational Tent).  It was a very quiet campground with water and electric only sites.  All the sites were very deep, dirt and seemed somewhat level.  The dump station was just outside the camping area.  There  were two bathhouses at the campground, one old but clean and one brand new.  Both were nice and very usable.  There was a large building  in the center of the campgrounds that had some artifacts from the park, 6 picnic tables, games, puzzles, a phone and a drink machine.  There was a very nice nature trail that lead to a spring that came out of the rocks and over the years had formed a deep hole, and creek bed that fed into the river.  It was not an easy hike, although just under a mile, it was uphill most of the way.  I didn
