Hi all,
I recently purchased a camper and I am going through it to fix and clean things up. After cleaning up the outside, I was wondering if it was worth it to apply wax to it. (Something like standard car turtle wax). I have a 97 Starcraft Venture. It has metal sides and a metal roof.
Is it worth it to wax it? Is there anything I would need to look out for by doing this?
Maybe it is a stupid question, but, one never knows.
Thanks
Welcome to the forum and to Starcraft ownership!
Yes, you want to keep it waxed and we were just discussing this about a week ago. If you do a search here on the "Mr. Fixit" forum for "Meguiars" and/or "Prolong" you should find it. There are some much better waxes out there than Turtle Wax and a spray-on detailer like "Prolong Waterless Wash and Shine" will keep you from having to wash the camper with soap/water and a garden hose.
Thanks, I found the thread.
I wonder about the cover question too. Will a cover help protect the camper and keep moisture out? Or will using one have the opposite effect?
