Title: One of the things we're findnig about geocaching.....
Post by: campdaddy on Sep 16, 2007, 02:13 PM
.....is that most of the caches are hidden by people who are intimately familiar with  the area in which they are hiding the cache. We are finding that a lot of hides are in historical or otherwise interesting places. Sometimes in an old cemetery, sometimes in a place that offers a scenic view or a vista that we might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.  We are planning a camping trip to (probably) East Fork State Park (http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/732/default.aspx)  (Ohio) next month. I see there are at least 20 caches hidden within the boundaries of this park. Link to East Fork SP Geocaches (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/gmnearest.aspx?lat=39.009580414948125&lng=-84.09896850585938&zm=11&mt=m) We will be geocaching while there, though the amount and effort we put into it will depend upon many factors. I will report back with our experiences. If anyone has any observations or insights into this park or geocaching here, please let us know about them. Thanks
