Title: Wiring
Post by: AZsix on Oct 20, 2007, 11:31 AM
I was splicing my new 7 pin onto the existing wiring and when I removed the old pigtail I noticed that there was a yellow wire that was not attached to anything. The only place this could go is in the center. Does anyone know what this wire goes to? I didn't attach it on the new one but I have a feeling I should have.

It's going ok. Was thinking about camping tonight but decided on next Saturday. Gotta watch the Red Sox tonight. It;s just going to be me and my twin boy. I plan on going one night with each kid so we can spend some one on one time.

The diagram was very helpful. It looks like it's for the aux/back up lights. I was beginning to think it was for the 12v since it didn't seem as though my frig was cooling while I had it switched to that setting as I drove.

My Starcraft wiring diagram shows that's for a back-up light.

That's what it looks like for mine as well. I guess at some point I will connect it but since I have done all my backing in the day and have my wife back there spotting for me I am not going to worry about it too much.

Thanks for the reply.

Yep, same for my Starcraft.  I hooked that wire up when I replaced my broken 7pin and it's nice to have the back up lights working, especially since we always wind up coming home in the dark and I have to back down the long driveway.
