I had this once and want to try it next weekend on a trip. I found some recipes on the web using frozen hashbrown potatoes. I wanted to use sliced fresh potatoes. Can these be substituted easily or is there a step for cooking the potatoes a little longer that I need to add without over cooking the other ingredients? Thanks, Penny.
Yes, you can use fresh potatoes, but they will have to be cooked more before you add your other ingredient or the potatoes will be a bit on the raw side.
