Title: Flagg Ranch Resort WY
Post by: sully349 on Nov 19, 2007, 03:20 PM
Has anyone been to Flagg Ranch Resort south of Yellowstone? Looks like a good base camp for me to explore Yellowstone/The Tetons and Jackson Hole. If anyone has any other suggestions Im all ears.....Planning on a 2 to 3 week stay in the area for next June/July. Thanks....

We stayed at Flagg ranch in 2001.  The restroom facilities were clean, but old.  (it's been six years, so they may have been updated.)  The sites were a mix of tree-coverted sites and mostly open sites.  I think the serviced sites (with water & electricity) were all pull-through and mostly open.  IIRC, it could get dry and dusty towards the end of the summer.

If I were going to see both Yellowstone and Grand Teton, I'd stay there again, not because the campground is that good, but because the convenience of not having to move camp saved time in the overall.
