Try Rollins Pond CG or Fish Creek CG near Saranac Lake, NY!
We stayed at Rollins Pond one Memorial Day weekend a few years back Site 9 (IFRC) right on the water. Beautiful site, water everywhere!

Don't go Memorial weekend, the Black Flies are VERY hungry!!!

Gabe,

Try Stillwater Reservoir in the Adirondacks.  I don't think you can park your PUP there, but they have water front sites all around the lake, and most are accessible only by canoe (no motors).  We camp there every summer with our Boy Scout Troop.

2nd vote for Rollins Pond, Fish Creek is a bit crowded for our taste. Most of the sites are waterfront or you can drive to the launch on Fish Creek Pond.

You can also try Cranberry Lake but the waterfront sites go fast. You can launch a car-top boat or canoe from the beach area or drive to the boat launch.

IIRR Meacham Lake (never stayed there) has waterfront sites but again they go fast.

I'm not sure if Eighth Lake cg has waterfront sites or not.

If you want to go into Pa we like Allegheny National Forest south of Bradford. Some cg's have waterfront sites but again they go fast. Or a few cg's have boat launches in them or near by. We've stayed at Willow Bay, Red Bridge, Kiasutha & Dewdrop.
