I am enlisting the help of you more experienced AZ campers. We wanted to go to Lyman Lake SP for the 4th of July weekend since they have fireworks a the cg over the lake. I called them today and the woman suggested "getting there early." When I asked how early she said that was up to me. She said she didn't want to give a time and be wrong. I told her I wouldn't hold her to it and then she said that we should really get there mid week in order to be sure to get a spot. That is not possible. Does anyone know of any cg's near there (Lyman Lake is near St Johns) that we could stay at and still catch the fireworks? Perhaps there is a cg that takes reservations nearby. The other option we are looking at is camping the following weekend but I would like a place where we can swim and preferably one that takes reservations. I would hate to drive 3 hours with four kids only to find out the cg is full.
Any ideas?

This one in Springerville looks nice and it takes tents so that is us. I did not see where they have a pool.

Thanks Mary. I may look into that. I think we may try to get into Christopher Creek cg. They take reservations and have three swimming holes. We may be going with our neighbors up the street that have a pup.
