Wasn't bad. Great bathhouses. Clean. We stayed in Middlefork campground. A couple issues were the water and electric outlets were placed in bothersome places. Almost right next to the firepit and way to close to everything else. makes for a too crowded campsite. One small concrete island for water and electric was used for two sites. The island was out in front instead of in the back where it should be.
Another is the main road is kinda close to the campground and is a downhill slope. The big trucks come thru in the AM and downshift and let the low RPM slow the truck instead of using the brakes. The exhaust noise is LOUD!!
Other than that the hiking was great.
Welcome to PUT! What state is the campground in?:)
SFDonovan, Next time you might want to consider the Whittleton CG which is on the other side of the road. Some of the sites are not as close (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/3529295_mtepe#201923736_592LS) but there is the same issue with the positioning of the CG post. On the other hand the CG is further back from the road.
