We would like to camp near Rib Mt. or the middle part of WI on Oct. 10, 11, 12. We are looking for a campground with electrical hook-up, flush toilets, showers and good hiking trails. If anyone has any suggestions we would love some help. We like state parks but also would like to be able to hook-up to electricity. Thank you!
Rib Mountain itself has a State Park campground. I am not sure if they have electric hookups or not because I have never camped there yet. Been up there many times to hike and such but have not camped there yet. About 15 to 20 miles or so north of there is Council Grounds State Park. They have electric sites and a shower building with flush toilets but I am not sure how late in the year they stay open for camping. We have camped there many times and it is a nice park. South of Rib Mountain by Mosinee there is a nice county park with electric hookups but no flush toilets, it is Big Eau Pleine county park located off highway 153. There is also Marathon County park in Wausau which has camping, it is almost in view of Rib Mountain.
