I have no $$$ either my med bills came in over $110,000.00  :yikes: good thing we don't have to pay ALL of that, we'll have to come up with about $20,000  :banghead:  :%

back feels great!! my leg doesn't hurt and I'm walking (short distances still) with out a cane or anything. going to P/T 3x a week. It's going to be a SLOW process

I like to look at all the vender stuff and I want to look at the jaycos..hopefully I can talk Dan into going.. :Z ..He's afraid of what might happen :p

Let's try this again! It's another year later! Because last year, I sat in wall to wall traffic for hours and hours and hours!
So Im willing to give it a shot again. I will however check the road conditions before I leave!

I doubt we can make any of them we are unloading old trailers stuff ( way too much junk) and moving into our new one getting ready for our maiden camping trip to Riley's farm...We got the 5th wheeler last night..we got it parked in Ramona and came home from Brayan's and Heather's house late.  So only could see in dark..Its sooo nice.  Maybe not as fancy as a lot of 5ers. but it will be prefect for DAve and I..would you believe the inside is grapes and and flowers,  and I don't even drink anymore!..its so nice to have a bed all made up and push a button to slide the livingroom out. It seems spacious right now, but heaven knows when I put my junk inside.

I'd like to go.  But everytime I say we will be there, i stick my foot in my mouth.  So, I will let Kristi make the call.

If we go with you Dee, Bring a walker or something cause I'm still not healthy enough to haul your ass around the show. :yikes: ;) :D

Well, if we go...it will be on the 11th.  I think we are doing DD's party on that Friday night.  The following weekend is my nephew's 1st birthday party...they changed the date for us, since we have the Halloween Rally...so there is no way we can miss his birthday now!!

I just got my copy of Westways magazine from AAA. If you also have triple AAA be sure to look on page 61. There on the bottom right corner is a coupon for $2.00 off regular admission on Thurs - Sun. Reg. admission is $6.00. Parking is $9.00. If you decide to go on Mon - Wed. it's just $1.00 to get in. 18 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult.

There are coupons to print from when you click on the link for the RV show. Look on the right side where it says discount coupons!

http://www.carvshow.com/

So be sure to cut out the coupon! See you there!

Steve
We drove by it last year going to the RV show and it looked real nice from the road. Level and grass around the sites. its a few block from the freeway, so the road noise should not be bad. This weekend will be our first time staying at a KOA (in Banning) So we won't know how their CG's are until then.
Have a good time and let us know if its nice enough to go back there as a group.

We've seen it, too.  It's urban, but at the time, appeared clean and "okay."   Here's a review to help you: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/California/Pomona.html .

KOAa are franchises - we've stayed in some amazing ones (out of state) and seen some real dumps.  I've always had good results with the rvparkreview site from above.

Shayne and I spent our anniversary at the RV show today with a couple of our friends who are in the market for a new 5th wheel.

So they had tons of Class A's, 5ers, Toy Haulers and Trailers..... I saw no hybrids though   ... they had just a few popups and Hi-Lo's.  I was really disappointed about that poor selection :(  I thought for sure because of the market and the cost of gas the popups would be in more demand and they would have a ton of them???   I fell in love with the Fleetwood Avalon though... OMG is it sooooo nice...... and HUGE!!!

I thought the vendor tent sucked!  I was really hoping they would have more accessories.  I filled out my contact info for just about every free give away the campgrounds offered.... so I'm sure I'll be inundated with calls now :eyecrazy:

Regardless of my gripes with what little they had to offer our needs.... it was still a fun day for us.... we fell in love with some of the trailers and 5ers our friends are considering... gosh they are really nice and I know whatever they get we will be able to enjoy with them so it was fun helping them shop! :)

Oh and how fun is this..... we also ran into Mary and Brad... that was very cool to see them there!!! :D

Just an FYI for handicap parking

HANDICAPPED
PARKING FOR
BLUE PLACARD
Take White Ave. north past the show, to Arrow Hwy. Turn right. Go 1 block to Gate 23 exhibitor entrance. Pay $9 to park a car. Proceed straight ahead inside the parking lot to Show Gate A. Reserved Handicapped Parking is just past Show Gate A.

I think I may have Dan talked into going...I just hope they have what I'm looking for. so far what I have found online I like the best is the forest river surveyor SV 294 and the North trail 31 QBS

How funny but sad! We were there from noon to 4:45pm! We never saw Mary or Brad!!! Not knowing what Gracy looks like, we could of been standing next to them and never know it.Thats funny HaHA!
From our walking around the show we did see a lot of popups!
Fleetwood had all the models. Forest River also had all models. And there were a number of Hybrids there as well.
No, the vendors in the tent were not like in the past. We did manage to spend a lot of money there. If you go Dee or Brian, we need for you to pick a couple of bags of these awning clips! They are 2 bags for $13.00! We have the A & E awning frame. Thats important to tell the vendor which awning we have. We will pay you back at Santa Paula.

We thought that a lot of the trailers were really nice more so than previous years. We did note that the show was not crowded at all. I think that economy is really in the toilet and people are just holding on to what they have.

I should edit my post to say that I don't think we made it all the way around.  We only saw the one section next to that vendor tent where the fleetwoods were (but they only had a few).  I guess we spent most of the time focusing on our friends and what they were looking for  ;)

Hahahaha!!!  Your totally right Bob, we could have been right next to you and never known it  :p

you are talking about the ones you put in the groove and twist and they lock..right??? those are cool. I bought some last year and picked some up for Brian, but I had to call him to ask him what awning brand he had

I will Get them for you..

Dan is so silly he said he didn't want to go because I couldn't buy anything, yesterday he said "ya if I don't go you can't be buyin stuff in the big tent"

I laughed and said "If there is something in the big tent I want I will buy it" (small $$ involved of course) I thought you were worried about me buying a new trailer"
Dans Says "no I'm not worried about that happening"

after 15 years you'd think he'd know me better :Z  :Z
he wasn't looking to get a trailer when we bought the last 2 :p

so how hungry are these dealers to sell something???

do you guys think I can handle a 33 ft trailer :eyecrazy:

Yes they the little gray metal clips that slide in the grooves and lock in place to be able to hang lights or whatever.

This is my personal opinion, that since the economy is really bad that they would deal more now than in prior years! There were lots of salesman and very few customers. I mean we were there on a Saturday and the crowd was not there! Now they could have been over at the home and garden show across from the RV show. That you could get into for free! Just pay your $9.00 for parking!

do you guys think I can handle a 33 ft trailer :eyecrazy:

It's a very beautiful and elegant trailer if it is the same one we saw! They always discount them at the shows but display models a little more $$$ could be taken off!

Just watch the weight. My only concern would be that the Expedition wheelbase is so short. 33' behind it is alot.  Remember when I towed the 27' behind the Tundra? Actually, 30' from tip to tip.  You will know it's back there!  And if there is a wind, that short wheelbase isn't gonna help.

OK that one seems silly, can't you just walk outside?  Then again I guess the same argument can be made for the loft one...

Guess some people don't know when they have taken things too far... Hopefully we have all learned our lesson.

The mis-understanding has been resolved between the parties involved. Leave it alone.

Brandon may go to the RV show today, hoping to meet some of you there.  Me and the girls will be hooping it up in Manhattan Beach at my nephew's first birthday party....there will be a bouncehouse and beer....now that's a party for me!!  Have fun....keep an eye on Brandon and the trailers...I have told him we aren't getting a new trailer until his truck is dead.  Then we will tow with the Expedition....

I will see you all on Friday!

Well, now he doesn't want to drive all by himself.  So, if his friend doesn't go, he's not going.  Oh, well!  Have fun!

Well we just got back and had a great time exploring all the RV's.

We found a few we really liked, and some not so much.  In the end I think we still love PUP's the most.  Although we saw a few TT's that were nice.

What was funny was the Stinky eyes we got when the 3 boys went in to one of the Nice big class A's.  Ha ha.  The guy in the Veranda coach shook his head and rolled his eyes when our 3 year old jumped in the driver seat to try it out!

The last place we stopped the guy asked what SCCampers was "there was a bunch of those guys in here yesterday!"  Ha ha.  The shirts work.

One of the ones we liked the best was the Tango by Pacific coach works.  Couldn't afford it or tow it, but we liked the layout...

The kids & I liked that one too!!! even tho I can tow 9200 lbs I don't want to pull that much (8,000lbs). I was also advised that since the wheel base is short on the Expy it is too long shouldn't go more than 28ft.

The one thing I liked about the milan was the size of the tanks they all hold 50 gal. It the same length as what I have now but is about 1000 lbs heavier the milan also has a 4 bunk option but it's 29 ft long.

The downside is the Milan sleeps less people only 6..
